WHAT DO AWESOME DADS BRING THEIR KIDS?

Over the years, we have had thousands of dads and their children complete surveys looking at how fathers influence their kids' development into the future. The good news is, most dads are already pretty good dads. But some went the extra mile in the form of their leadership style. Through our research, we've been able to pinpoint 13 best practices that can literally change the game, especially in busy professionals who already have their hands full with a demanding job and career. What we found out is that those best practices largely influence kids into their adult life.

relationships

GREAT RELATIONSHIPS

Great father leaders translate into astronomically better dad-kids relationships well into adulthood. Isn't that what we want?
relationships

INCREASED AMBITION

Kids that are shown the best leadership by their dads tend to show significantly more ambition and attain higher educational levels.
relationships

MORE SELF-CONFIDENCE

Fathers who adopt the best leadership practices have more self-confident children who, becoming adults, trust their abilities more and thus are able to achieve more.
relationships

HAPPIER ADULTHOOD

Better leadership practices in fathers extends to life satisfaction and well-being into kids' adulthood. Kids are happier about their health and shape, relationships, finances, and scores of other dimensions.

100 DAYS TO BE THE BEST FATHER YOU CAN BE

Our unique, scientifically-developed, and patent-pending methodology is based on 13 different pillars of awesome fatherhood. Those were derived from thousands survey responses and unique stories gathered from fathers and their now-adult children, as part of Dr. Jean-François Ouellet's Fatherhood Project at the University of Montreal's HEC school.

Founder of The Daddily Method
about daddily -
HOW DID THIS PROJECT COME ABOUT?

The founder of daddily is a single father of two boys with a demanding career as both technology entrepreneur and business school professor. After he got separated from the mother of his sons, he started self-doubting, questioning the quality of the job he was doing as a father. Although he took them to school each morning, helped with homework, even flew them overseas with him a few times, he just wasn't going to settle with what he was doing.

He consulted with psychologists, whose jaws basically dropped when he said he didn't have any specific problem, just wanted to do an even better job raising his kids. So he looked online and bought dozens of books, looking for guidance. Yet none of those really pointed to any direction.

Studying the topic of leadership as an academic, he turned to what he knew best: field research. Perhaps, he thought, leadership style in fathers could be a differential factor in raising kids.

The results simply astonished him. With fathers doing an already good job, the added benefits of the best practices his research identified simply knocked the ball out of the park. Kids were more confident, more ambitious, enjoyed better relationships with their dads, and were simply happier overall. Now that's exactly what he had been looking for.
